Interest Rates dropping 📉 faster than expected

Money nerds are changing their minds about mortgage rates.
Financial forecasters predicted rates would be 6.97% 
by the end of March.

They're already down to 6.7%!
That's like ordering a pizza 
for delivery at 8pm and having it show up at 7:30pm. (Which reminds of a pizza delivery story I need to share…)

The market is moving faster than expert predictions, creating potential savings opportunities.
Look at this chart I attached. See that line dropping faster than expected? That represents significant savings for potential homebuyers.
Most consumers underestimate how impactful a small rate drop can be. On a $550,000 home with a 10% downpayment, you save about $122 per month.
What could you do with an extra $122 bucks? Hire a pool guy? Stock up on 18 Maverik Burritos?

Perhaps more importantly, note that every 1% drop in rates = a 10% increase in purchasing power…yeehaw! 
The housing market tends to heat up when the masses learn that rates are dropping, but as with all things economics, time will tell.
So maybe it's time to dust off those home-buying plans. The window might be opening sooner than we all expected.
