π A $35 Pizza Tip That Taught Me About Real Estate

“Keep the change, ya filthy animal!” And I did :)
Ever wonder what delivering pizzas in a Camry taught me about real estate? Surprisingly... everything.
I was 21 years old and just home from a 2-year service mission when I landed a job at Pizza Factory Express.
Remember that (no-longer-standing) spot at the corner of St. George Boulevard and Bluff Street? Right next to Blockbuster Video and Baskin Robbins? Talk about a time warp!
I can't count how many shifts ended with me renting a VHS at Blockbuster before heading home. #timewarp for real.
Nobody thinks "delivery driver" is a real career—but I treated it like the last job I'd ever have.
There was a guy with a red Honda Civic who became my delivery nemesis. We'd race for the large orders because they meant bigger tips.
One day, a MASSIVE order came in as we were leaving on separate deliveries. We knew we'd both get back just in time for this big fish.
I don't remember exactly what or where I delivered to—somewhere off Sunset Boulevard—but odds are, it was the ever-reliable PF "Family Special."
As I started back toward Bluff Street, my hands were sweating, and my heart was racing with the game of beating my buddy back to the store. Then I saw him…his red Civic just ahead in the left lane.
My brain turned into a fast-thinking tactical machine. I yanked my pizza delivery magnet off my car roof, then slouched down so he wouldn't notice it was me passing by.
You should've seen his face when he finally realized! His jaw nearly hit his steering wheel.
We both floored it down Bluff Street like we were in Fast and Furious: Pizza Edition. My trusty Toyota Camry practically caught air as I whipped into the parking lot.
I beat him by maybe ten seconds. I can still remember his laughing face as he shook his head in a “No, you didn't!" gesture to me as I walked in triumphantly.
That $35 tip felt so good in my pocket. Victory tastes better than any pizza ever could.
That day taught me something I've never forgotten: Speed matters.
When you want the best rewards, you can't just cruise along with everyone else. You need to outpace the competition. Nowhere is this more true than in the sale of your home.
“Money loves speed. Poverty loves indecision.”

Many Sellers mistakenly believe that “being patient" will net them the most money. Wrong… painfully wrong.
Homes sitting on the market for more than 30-60 days tend to sell for less money. After 90 days, buyers smell blood in the water. They know, or at least believe, they can lowball you.
Speed to sale isn't just about convenience. It's about protecting your biggest investment.
This is exactly why our home-selling system works so well. It gives you a head start others don't have. You get to pull off your "delivery magnet" and zoom past the competition while they wonder what happened.

If selling's on your mind, I'm happy to demystify the process or chat through any questions—no pressure, no jargon.
