  One of the things we love about Washington City is the small-town community feel. There are many community festivals and events that highlight the city's heritage. We have an award-winning community center right in our backyard that features everything from a kids oasis, to an active community of aquatic walkers each morning, a rock-climbing wall, and a full gym, as well as many fun events throughout the year. There are many parks throughout the area of varying types. We are also close to many national and state parks, as well as many other outdoor recreation areas and hiking opportunities.
 
2. Tell us something about your neighborhood:
 
 Our neighborhood is great for helping each other in times of need.There is a feeling of community here that doesn't always exist in a fast-growing area. We have wonderful views of the mountains to the south, as well as views of Pine Valley Mountain. We are within walking distance of the parade starting line for many celebrations throughout the year.
3. Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, hospitals or any other "conveniences":
  We are close to everything! We are within walking distance of the Washington City Community Center, Washington Elementary School, the Washington City Library and the ball fields. Within two miles we have parks and shopping (such as Albertson's, Walmart, Home Depot and Bed, Bath and Beyond), fast food (In-N-Out, McDonald's) and other eateries (Red Robin). We are also close to other stores such as Costco, the brand new Smith's, and Lin's. We have quick freeway access to get to destinations such as Zion National Park.
 
4. What specifically drew you to the property?
 
 When we first walked in the door we were impressed with the lighting of the house. It has an open floor plan and lots of windows for natural lighting. The wood-burning stove brings a cozy atmosphere to the home. We liked the yard spacing around the house with plenty of room for backyard entertaining. The home has a large driveway that will easily accommodate three or more vehicles.
 
5. Hobbies in the area?
 
  We love to go on walks as a family and visit with neighbors. There are many parks throughout the area that our children love exploring. We enjoy the easy access to the community center with swimming, the gym and rock-climbing wall. Our children love taking swimming lessons there. City league baseball, soccer and basketball are available for sports-enthusiasts. The baseball fields are within walking distance and often have games going that are free for spectators to enjoy.
 
6. Anything else?
 
  We have fantastic views of the fireworks from our back porch or family room windows during New Year's Eve and Pioneer Day celebrations. We love being able to just walk inside to bed afterward without the hassle of traffic. We have also loved the proximity to the library, with free access to books and movies.
