1. Things you love about your town / neighborhood:

 

The things I love about my neighborhood is the convenience to the interstate to get any where in town. The Bloomington park is just minutes away and across the bridge is the start of the pathway along the river to many miles of biking,walking running.Bloomington Elem. school is a 6 min walk away and shopping are just couple blocks away, yet this is a quiet neighborhood. What we love about St. George is it's variety, you have many shopping choices from Malls, box stores, old downtown to thrift and antique shops. Parks for the kids all over town, fun to visit the different ones for a change and the water feature downtown is wonderful place to cool down in the hot summer. The VA clinic is top notch and with the newer hospital and now the VA retirement home, relieve any future issues with health.

2. Tell us something about your neighborhood:

 

Our neighborhood is great for walking/running, bike riding as it's only a few blocks from the public walking path along the river.

3. Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, hospitals or any other "conveniences":

 

Walmart, banks, gas stations, fast food are just a few blocks away so convenient if you need something last minute or for normal shopping.

4. What specifically drew you to the property?

 

When we first looked at the property we liked the big yard(elbow room) since we'd lived in the country previously. Being located on a street that wasn't a main street was a plus also. The biggest plus was that it was a one level home! With being close to an acre we had plenty to room to add on a large insulated garage, and have room for an RV. We loved the big trees and room for fruit trees and grapes. The block wall on three sides gave us wonderful privacy in our back yard where we can watch the birds at the feeders and watch the hummingbirds build their nests, or fly a kite!

5. Hobbies in the area?

 

Was fun to go to the kite festival just South of here and with the baseball fields at the Bloomington Park is great to go and watch the Senior Games and the kids tournaments! Golf course is just across the bridge from the Park.

6. Anything else?

 

Additionally the power is cheaper here, our past years average is $140 a month for just under a 4000 square foot house all on one level with a daughter and granddaughter in the in-law apartment was wonderful. Being on an irrigation system for the yard and animal water helps so you don't worry about a hugh yard watering bill! We and our granddaughter loved the benefit of having fresh range free eggs, and visiting the horses down the street. Being able to have a horse or sheep etc is great for the kids, ride out your driveway and ride to the river or … without having to hook up a trailer and load the horse is wonderful!!
