1. Things you love about your town:

 

The things I love about my town are the friendly community feel and enough amenities close by without having to travel to leave Hurricane. Walmart and Lin's Market are close, with several restaurants, medical/dental, and shopping options right within Hurricane - yet it's only 15 minutes from additional restaurants, shopping and Costco in St. George! It's also less than 30 minutes from Springdale and Zion's National Park - which provides stunning views from our home. The local community center offers several classes and activities, even great community theater, for everyone. We love the schools here as well. It's the best of small town living, yet not far from the amenities of a larger community.

2. Tell us something about your neighborhood:

 

Our neighborhood is great because of the almost panoramic and stunning views of Zion's, Kolob, Sky Mountain Golf Course, and Quail Creek Reservoir! We have the best neighbors in the world - all of them, seriously - which makes it difficult to leave. There is no development behind our home so there will always be a quiet and private feeling without isolation - still close to everything. We can drive our golf cart to Sky Mountain Golf Course, and it's a short 10 minute drive to the beautiful Sand Hollow Reservoir, Golf Course and sand dunes.

3. Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, hospitals or any other "conveniences":

 

As mentioned above, we have 3 great grocery shopping options, beauty salons, furniture stores, restaurants, gyms (including a cross fit location), hardware stores - all within a 10 minute drive from our house. Everything you need is available without feeling like you are in a city center. It's the convenience of living in a city, but still has a rural feel. It's a great place to have animals (large and small), without feeling that you are living in the middle of a farm. It's really the perfect balance! There are a few GREAT dentists and doctors, eye centers, and an IHC Center available as well.

4. What specifically drew you to the property?

 

When we first saw the property, we struck by the amazing views! Gorgeous! The house was a perfect option for our family because the layout worked perfectly to have parents live with us. It has 2 kitchens and is accessible for scooters/wheelchairs. With the walk out basement on a hill, one side of the house allows entry directly into the back yard from the street. The pool and the in-ground trampoline sold my kids, the theater room sold my husband, and the kitchen and storage rooms sold me! It's an open floor plan, and did I mention A LOT of storage.

5. Hobbies in the area?

 

We love to go to the Coral Cliffs Cinema, less than 5 minutes away. It's a locally owned theater and offers several clean and comfortable theaters/movies. We've even heard they now have a "luxury" theater with the recliners and food, etc. We haven't experienced that yet, but plan to soon! It's the best theater in the whole of southern Utah, and it's right here. We also love the many hiking options, fishing, and off-roading available in our back yard. Hurricane allows off-road vehicles on many of the back public roads so you don't need to load your ATVs, you can ride them from your home to the nearby dunes and trails, etc. Not to mention the proximity to Zion's and Kolob. And if you like to golf...3 beautiful course within minutes.

6. Anything else?

 

We like the convenience of having all of our utilities, except for gas, billed through the city. No need to write checks/bill pay to 3 or more separate companies.
