When we first saw the sign "Welcome to Hurricane Valley" we were awestruck by its vast beauty and we knew immediately it was where we wanted to retire. We love our area of the valley because it is set back and above the main road. We can enjoy the magnificent views without the noise of traffic. Nearly everything you need is conveniently located within a mile or two: grocery stores, Walmart, Walgreens, everything from hairdressers to hamburgers. An Intermountain Healthcare clinic is no more than a mile away. Of course you always have the option of going to the "big city" of St. George, a mere 15 miles away, with its many restaurants and shops, for a great day or evening out.

2. Tell us something about your neighborhood:

Our neighborhood in particular is on a private cul-de-sac. There is no traffic other than the residents. It is a great place to raise a family or enjoy a quiet retirement. The neighbors are friendly and are always willing to lend a helping hand.

3. Anything else?

Although our neighborhood is primarily desert landscaped, our backyard is a grassy oasis with a good sized area for a flower or vegetable garden. The secondary water system ( with an optional switch over to city water) keeps our utility costs low.
