1. Things you love about your town:

 
 

The things I love about our town are the weather, very little snow, the beautiful and colorful mountains around the valley, the blue sky. We also like the area because it's the only county in the state of Utah where palm trees are grown. After living in a larger populous area, it's nice to live in an area where there are only 150,000 in the whole county. There are lots of friendly people and a low crime rate. It's close to many beautiful areas such as Bryce, Zion and Grand Canyon, not to mention all the parks on the east side of the state. We have low property taxes.

 

2. Tell us something about your neighborhood:
 

Our neighborhood has some great neighbors who look out for each other. It is a quiet neighborhood with little traffic compared with a lot of other streets. We have a beautiful view of the mountains behind our home with our palm trees in the background and valley to the south.

 

3. Grocery Stores, Gas Stations, hospitals or any other "conveniences":
 

We are within 6 minutes of WalMart, gas stations and restaurants and 15 minutes from Dixie Medical Center, Dillards Department Store, Target, Home Depot and several other shopping areas. There are also many miles of paved hiking/biking trails throughout Bloomington and St. George. The Summit Fitness Center is within 15 minutes and I really like that too. We also like that we are within 10 minutes of a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

 

4. What specifically drew you to the property?
 

When we first contemplated moving here from Florida, we were struck by the beautiful red hills directly behind the property and the fact that it was quite isolated with a low traffic volume. Also we knew that the area behind the property was owned by the BLM and there could be no building done behind us.

 

5. Hobbies in the area?
 

We just love living here with all this beauty in the whole area.

 

6. Anything else?
  We have lived in our home on Kolob Drive for 30 years and never had to report one incident of crime.
