Keller Williams Realty Continues to Dominate and Turn Heads

Keller Williams Realty is getting some notoriety...again...and again.....and...you understand. 

Last month Brad Inman of Inman news released a piece, "Underestimate Keller Williams at Your Own Risk", touting basically EVERYTHING about the company. Inman "gushed" about the company to be quite frank, and Inman news is widely regarded as an incredibly reputable source of national real estate data.

Then this week the video below was released. These guys are pretty zany, but they've built a reputation over the past 5-10 years of speaking TOTAL truth about the Real Estate market, and they are NOT Realtors - so no real benefit of them not speaking truth. 

If you're a Home Buyer or Seller, this might be great grounds for hiring a Realtor from Keller Williams Realty. If you're an Agent looking for a "home" - it's tough to ignore the talk on the street, and it bears that your time would be well spent to at least check into the opportunity to grow your business via Keller Williams Realty. 

Shoot, they even got Charlie Sheen on the video...It must be true! :)

Because your SICK of all the "CANNED" Holiday Greetings......

Seriously...who isn't? The best is when you get a random Holiday greeting at some ABSURD hour that was obviously sent out through some robot email service...."Thanks for the sincere wishes!" Right. 

So I thought I'd send out friends, clients and associates something of value...the most gorgeous picture of St. George this time of year EVER produced!

The Larkin Group Fall in Dixie

The Story

Some of you know the story, but we originally had a similar photo taken in 2004 by a friend,  Larry Gardner from this same spot. He called it, "Falling In Love With Dixie". The quality was average, colors not as moving. It was taken immediately following a November rain storm. 

For years I watched the weather hoping to get a better shot. In November of 2009 it rained like crazy and then the clouds started to part. I saw this from our (then) St. George Boulevard Office window....and thought, "this is it!"

I dialed SUPER-Photographer Danny Lee, (http://www.dleephotography.com/) and said "DANNY I NEED YOU! Are you in town?" And the rest, as they say, is history. This picture now graces all of our Larkin Group branding as well as my office wall in a 36" x 60" format on a huge slab of clear acrylic...very cool.

So there's a story, AND a pretty picture to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving. And the reality is, I think most of us have a lot to be thankful for!

St. George Real Estate Post-Election: NOW WHAT?

Well....BILLIONS of dollars and 4 years later, the Presidential Election came...and went. There's no question that St. George...and the entire State of Utah for that matter, are predominantly Conservative, Right-leaning, Republican areas. And as such, MANY locals have expressed utter dismay over Presidential Election results.

I cannot tell you how many facebook posts, emails and tweets I saw from friends saying, "I'm sick to my stomach, we're ruined!" Then there were those on the other side who were simply elated...interesting how life works isn't it? 

Regardless of your political affiliations, this type of sentiment CAN, but doesn't NEED to affect local consumer confidence. In this week's piece, Obama and Romney don't know anything about St. George, Utah...but we do!.

Dick's Sporting Goods Came to Town!

Not only is Ryan smart and professional, he's a darn handsome dude...just ask the ladies!

Here are some highlights Ryan shared with us: 

Mid-way through 2012 and Southern Utah continues to strengthen! Washington County has seen the unemployment rate improve from a seasonally adjusted 8.0 percent at year end to 7.6 percent.  St. George's population grew by 2.6 percent between 2010 and 2011, and is ranked 11th in the U.S. Census Bureau's list of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the nation.  Overall, Utah's 1.9 percent population growth rate put it behind only Texas in the ranking.  It is encouraging to see mild-to-moderate, sustainable growth. 

Exciting additions in our Market Report include Dick's Sporting Goods (45,000 SF), Family Dollar Distribution Center (80,000 SF), which will start with 100 employees and grow to 400 in subsequent years, the Red Rock Wake(boarding) Park, the first of its kind in Utah, and Lifetime Products that purchased a 9,500 SF retail building on St. George Boulevard.  If you have ever enjoyed playing "dunk ball" by adjusting your 10' basketball standard, you can thank Lifetime Products as the inventor of that fun.  I am fortunate to have represented them in their St. George purchase across from Café Rio.

Other Noteworthy Events:

  • The Dixie Drive Interchange at Exit 5 on Interstate 15 will open July 25th.  This new interchange will greatly improve the efficiency and flow of traffic for Southern Utah motorists.
  • St. George completed the roadway widening of Red Hills Parkway (formerly Skyline Drive) from Bluff Street to 1000 East that now includes 4 lanes, a median, and a non-motorized trail way so our recreational lifestyle can be better accommodated.
  • Land developers have been aggressively picking up 10-20 acre pieces and moving through the process to develop residential lots.  Confidence is picking up.

Why does one of my finest team members have to move to Phoenix!?!? Family calls, and I applaud those who follow the Keller Williams mantra of "God, Family, THEN Business" ​so I guess we'll let her go. But now we need your help to find a new Superstar for our team!

This successful candidate will be a highly flexible, highly systematic and detailed person with a strong work ethic and the ability and desire to lead a skilled Administrative Team. A Utah Real Estate license or prior industry (Title, Mortgage, etc.) experience is preferred.

This individual will be involved in both building and overseeing team systems for Buyers, Sellers, and Transaction Coordination. This person must have outstanding communication skills; REO/Short Sale experience is helpful.
